Architectural Control helps preserve the character, appearance, and overall standards of Barns Mill Lake by reviewing exterior modifications, improvements, and changes visible from the community.
Architectural Control is supported by three appointed committee members. The committee reviews requests to ensure proposed projects align with the Association’s governing documents, design standards, and community guidelines. Reviews may include, but are not limited to, exterior updates, paint colors, structural modifications, additions, and other visible property alterations.
Homeowners are required to obtain approval before beginning any project that may impact the exterior appearance of their property. Starting work prior to approval may result in delays, required modifications, or other compliance actions.
Please download the Architectural Control Requirements to determine the project category before completing the request form below. Also, gather and submit all required information, including project details, photos, plans, and/or supporting documents to upload with your submission.
The Architectural Control Requirements are a great resource for homeowners to understand what is expected to maintain the standard of living we have come to enjoy in Barns Mill Lake.
