Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors is made up of neighbors who volunteer their time and work together to help maintain Barns Mill Lake as a welcoming, well-managed community. The Board oversees Association operations, supports community initiatives, and helps ensure that the community’s governing documents, financial responsibilities, and standards are maintained.
Elected Board members serve three-year terms. Board members who are appointed serve until the next Annual Meeting, at which time they may choose to run for election. Elected Board members may serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.
All Board members serve as Directors; however, the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer also serve as Officers with specific responsibilities outlined in the Association’s governing documents.
For additional information regarding Board positions, officer responsibilities, terms, and related requirements, please refer to Article IV, Sections 5–9 of the Bylaws. You can also visit the Directors page for an overview of current Board members and their roles.
Committees
Committees help support the Board of Directors and play an important role in keeping Barns Mill Lake organized, engaged, and well maintained. Committee members assist with specific areas of community operations, projects, and initiatives that help support the overall goals of the Association.
Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors and serve at the Board’s discretion. Serving on a committee does not require being a member of the Board, and homeowners are encouraged to get involved and share their time, skills, and ideas to help strengthen the community.
For additional information regarding Association committees, responsibilities, and requirements, please refer to Article III, Sections 19–21 of the Bylaws. You can also visit the Committees page for an overview of current committees and their roles.
