Life at Barns Mill Lake naturally gathers around the water. The lake serves as the community’s centerpiece, featuring a walking path, a lighted fountain, and a quiet swing overlooking the water. Whether you’re taking a stroll, pausing as the fountain lights up in the evening, or simply enjoying a quiet moment, it’s a space that invites you to slow down and take it all in.
From the very beginning, the lake has played a central role in the neighborhood. Created during the community’s development in the mid-1980s, it was designed to bring both beauty and purpose to the landscape during a time of growth in East Cobb. Over the years, it has remained a constant presence—shaping not just the look of the neighborhood, but the everyday rhythm of life within it.
Today, the lake continues to be a shared space where residents can walk, relax, and connect, carrying forward the same sense of calm and community it was built to inspire.
